WICK DayNait

WICK DayNait contains paracetamol (a pain reliever and fever reducer), pseudoephedrine (which acts as a nasal decongestant), and diphenhydramine (an antihistamine that causes drowsiness).

Paracetamol relieves headaches, body aches, and fever.
Pseudoephedrine acts on the blood vessels in the nose to reduce nasal congestion.
Diphenhydramine relieves rhinorrhea (nasal secretions) and sneezing, helps clear nasal secretions, and is suitable for nighttime use.

WICK DayNait is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of nasal and sinus congestion associated with cold and flu symptoms – such as headache, body aches and/or fever – especially when accompanied by pain that occurs at bedtime and makes it difficult to fall asleep. WICK DayNait is intended for use by adults and adolescents aged 15 years and over.

The box contains two types of tablets, differentiated by color, to be used at different times of the day. Read the leaflet carefully to make sure you take the correct tablet at the right time.

"Daytime tablet": Yellow tablets contain paracetamol and pseudoephedrine – for use during the day.
"Night tablet": The blue tablets contain paracetamol and diphenhydramine - for use at night.
If you do not feel better or if your condition worsens after 4 days, you should contact your doctor.

How to take WICK DayNait
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents aged 15 years and over:
Four tablets per day, as directed below.

Time of administration Tablet Dose
During the day Yellow tablet 1 yellow tablet (for the day) every 4 to 6 hours, 3 times a day
(one tablet in the morning, at lunch and in the afternoon)
Night Blue tablet 1 blue tablet (for night) before bedtime

Take one tablet at a time and only at the times of day indicated on the package. DO NOT take more than 3 yellow tablets per day.
DO NOT take the blue tablet during the day.

Use in children and adolescents
WICK DayNait should not be administered to children under 15 years of age.

Method of administration
Oral administration.
Swallow the tablets whole, without chewing, with a sufficient amount of liquid.

Duration of use
This medicine is for short-term use only. Treatment should not exceed 4 days.

If you take more WICK DayNait than you should
Seek medical advice immediately if you or someone else accidentally takes more WICK DayNait than recommended.
Even if you feel well, contact a doctor immediately, as taking an excessive amount of paracetamol can cause serious liver damage, with delayed manifestation.

If you forget to take WICK DayNait
Take this medicine strictly following the dosage instructions mentioned above. DO NOT take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

The active substances in the daily tablet are:
Paracetamol (500 mg per tablet) and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (60 mg per tablet)
The active substances in the night tablet are:
Paracetamol (500 mg per tablet) and diphenhydramine hydrochloride (25 mg per tablet)
The other components are:
Microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, copovidone, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, talc (E553b), triacetin (E1518), film-coated muscovite
titanium dioxide (E171). In addition, iron (III) oxide-hydroxide x H2O (E172) – only in the day tablet – and indigo carmine aluminium lake (E132) – only in the night tablet. What WICK DayNait looks like and contents of the pack
Tablet for the day:
Yellow, oblong, biconvex, film-coated tablet (dimensions: approximately 9 mm x 18 mm)

Night tablet:
Blue, oval, biconvex, film-coated tablet (dimensions: approximately 12 mm (diameter))

The tablets are available in a blister pack containing 12 yellow tablets for the day and 4 blue tablets for the night.
