Description:

ThermaCare® hot compresses provide prolonged warmth at a constant temperature. How to use:

• Open the packaging immediately before using the product.
• Do not cut the compress.
• Tear gently along the perforated line to separate the sides.
• Apply the compress over the painful area with the darker side to the skin and secure it, making sure the circular opening is over the kneecap.
• Adjust the sides individually so that each one attaches to the grip area. See the Do Not Use section for areas where it does not apply.
• It may take 30 minutes for ThermaCare® to reach therapeutic temperature.
• Remove the product after 8 hours.
Suitable for people suffering from acute, chronic and occasional pain.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 7 consecutive days.

Precautions and contraindications:

This product may cause burns. Check your skin frequently during use. If you notice any irritation or burning, remove the product immediately.
For people who cannot follow all instructions for use or are between 12 and 18 years of age: supervision by a caregiver is required.
If you are over 55: The risk of sunburn increases with age. If you are over 55, wear ThermaCare ® over clothing and do not wear it while sleeping.
Consult your doctor before using if you have diabetes, poor circulation, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, or are pregnant.
Stop use and consult a doctor if you experience any discomfort, burning, swelling, hives or other skin changes that persist where you applied the compress; if after 7 days your pain worsens or remains unchanged.

Each heat cell contains iron (about 2 grams):
• if you have swallowed the contents, seek professional assistance immediately;
• if the contents come into contact with the skin or eyes, remove the compress, wash the affected area with water and seek professional assistance immediately;
• remove the compress if it is damaged or torn during use.
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Never heat the product in the microwave or attempt to reheat it, as it may catch fire.

Do not use:
• if the contents of the heat cells leak and/or the casing is damaged or torn or if the packaging is damaged
with topical medicinal preparations
• on unhealthy, damaged or injured skin
• on bruised or swollen areas that have appeared within the last 48 hours
• to people who cannot follow all instructions for use or who cannot remove the product
• together with other forms of heating
• under the age of 12
• on areas of the body other than the knees

When using this product:
Do not use for more than 8 hours in a 24-hour period.
Do not apply the compress too tightly and do not overlap the heat cells.
Do not put additional pressure on the product, such as resting it on hard surfaces or wearing it under tight clothing.
If you feel the product is too hot, stop using it or wear it over clothing, not directly on the skin.
To avoid increasing the risk of burns, remove the product before magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures.
Keep the compress dry.
