The COMPEED cold sore patch can generally be used at any stage of a herpes outbreak. Its use is particularly recommended during the wound healing phase, as it accelerates healing and reduces the risk of infection.

The COMPEED Invisible Cold Sore Patch should remain on the cold sore day and night until it has healed. The patch will detach itself after approximately 12 hours and should then be replaced with a new one.

The Compeed herpes blister patch with applicator allows for targeted placement of the round herpes blister patch and demonstrably reduces crust formation in herpes blisters.

Correctly applying Compeed herpes blister patches with applicator

• Wash your hands before and after use. Apply the patch only to clean, dry skin. Do not apply cream to the lip, as this may cause the patch to detach. Tear off one patch along the perforated edge to separate it.
• Hold the transparent film applicator at the curved end.
• Carefully peel the transparent film applicator off the turquoise protective cover using both hands.
• The round cold sore patch is located on the upper part of the applicator. Avoid contact with the adhesive side.
• Using a mirror, place this part of the applicator onto the cold sore and press down gently to fix the patch in place.
• Carefully peel off the applicator and leave the patch in place. Makeup or lipstick can be applied over the patch.

The plaster should ideally be stored in a dry place. The storage temperature should not exceed 25°C.
