How is the analysis performed?
The first morning urine should be used for the analysis.

The test takes about 7 minutes: 2 minutes for the analysis and another 5 minutes for the result.

How are the results interpreted?
The results are interpreted as positive, borderline, or negative.

Positive:
The urine contains more than 20 µg/ml albumin.
A positive result could also be due to a temporary change in your physiological state.
Important: Intense physical activity, fever, severe infections or pregnancy can increase the albumin concentration in urine.
We recommend repeating the test a few days later. If the result is positive again, consult your doctor for further examination.
Borderline:
The urine contains between 10 μg/ml and 20 μg/ml albumin.
We recommend that you check your albumin levels in your urine from time to time.
Negative:
The urine contains less than 10 μg/ml albumin.
