Description
No specific problems have been described in the elderly.
PATIENT ADVICE
- Take 30 minutes before meals.
- The treatment will last for a maximum of 4 weeks, unless otherwise indicated by the doctor.
- If symptoms persist or worsen after 2 weeks of treatment, it is recommended to consult with a doctor and/or pharmacist.
- Avoid consuming alcoholic beverages during treatment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the medication.
EFFECTS ON DRIVING
It does not appear to significantly affect the ability to drive or operate dangerous machinery.
PREGNANCY
There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans. It is recommended to avoid its use during pregnancy.
Effects on fertility: no data are available regarding its possible effects on fertility.
INDICATIONS
- [DERMATITIS]. Treatment of symptoms associated with mild to moderate inflammatory processes of the skin.
Its effectiveness is based on exclusively traditional use.
INTERACTIONS
- Alcohol. Alcoholic beverages may alter the absorption of Polypodium leucotomos extract. It is recommended to avoid alcohol consumption during treatment.
- Antacids. It is recommended to avoid using antacids immediately before administration, as it could reduce digestive absorption.
LACTATION
It is unknown whether it is excreted in breast milk, and what the consequences might be for the infant. It is recommended to discontinue breastfeeding or avoid administering it.
CHILDREN
Safety and efficacy have not been evaluated in children under 6 years of age; therefore, its use is not recommended. Children between 6 and 12 years of age require dosage adjustment.
GUIDELINES FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION
Take the capsules whole with a little liquid.
POSOLOGY
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, oral: 1 capsule 3 times a day. If necessary, an additional capsule may be administered, preferably at night. Treatment should be continued for up to 4 weeks, unless otherwise directed by a doctor.
- Children aged 6-12 years: 1 capsule/12 h.
- Children < 6 years: safety and efficacy have not been evaluated.

PRECAUTIONS
- Patients with [FEVER], [INFECTION], [HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE] or [HEART FAILURE] should use this medication under medical advice.
PRECAUTIONS RELATING TO EXCIPIENTS
This medicine contains lactose. Patients with hereditary lactose or galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Adverse reactions are described according to each frequency interval, being considered very common (>10%), common (1-10%), uncommon (0.1-1%), rare (0.01-0.1%), very rare (<0.01%) or of unknown frequency (cannot be estimated from the available data).
- Digestive: rare digestive disorders.
- Dermatological: rare [EXANTHEMATOUS ERUPTIONS], [PRURITUS].
OVERDOSE
Symptoms: no cases of overdose have been described.
Treatment: symptomatic.
