Clothes moth trap for detecting infestation

The monitor pheromone trap, suitable for textiles, furs, carpets, curtains, upholstered furniture, mattresses and other fabrics, offers an odorless and non-toxic way to detect an infestation of clothes moths.

The pheromones contained in the adhesive attract male clothes moths, which are then trapped by the glue. This method allows for reliable localization and detection of a moth infestation.

Activation & Application

To prepare the trap for use, cut open the top of the bag and remove the trap. Then fold the side flaps and remove the white protective paper from the trapping surface. The now-activated trap will release pheromones for approximately three months. Afterward, the trap simply needs to be placed or hung up. The trap should be replaced once the sticky surface is saturated or after three months at the latest. It is recommended to clearly mark the date it was set up and the end of its effectiveness period on the trap.

Mode of action

The trap uses species-specific pheromones incorporated into the glue, which are effective only against clothes moths. In this way, primarily male moths are caught.
