Description
The Canishield® 1.04g collar for large dogs offers long-lasting triple protection against parasites.
- Kills and repels the mosquito that transmits leishmaniasis (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for 5 and a half months
- Kills ticks (Ixodes ricinus) for 6 months
- Kills fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) for 16 weeks.
It is suitable for dogs from 7 weeks of age. The collar is odorless and waterproof and is safe and easy to put on thanks to the adjustable strap. Deltamethrin, the active ingredient in the collar, is constantly released by rubbing the collar on the dog's neck. This forms a uniform protective barrier over the entire body of the animal through the lipid layer of the skin.
The active ingredient never enters the dog's bloodstream. When fleas, ticks or sand flies come into contact with Deltamethrin, they are quickly paralyzed and die. Although parasites proliferate in the environment as temperatures rise, the animal must be protected all year round. For optimal protection, it is recommended to apply Beaphar Canishield® before the peak of the parasite infestation season.
Instructions
Do not remove the collar from the protective cover until just before application. Place the collar around your dog's neck and adjust it. Make sure that two fingers can fit between the collar and the neck. Cut off the excess length, leaving 5 cm at the end. Check periodically that the collar is neither too tight nor too loose and adjust the length if necessary by tightening the buckle and sliding the collar into the correct position. We recommend that you remove the Beaphar Canishield® collar when your dog goes swimming, as the active substance can affect organisms present in the water. Thanks to the practical buckle, the collar can be easily put on and taken off. However, the collar is water resistant, and if it accidentally gets wet, this will not affect its functionality.
