The enzyme lactase contained in Lactase 6000 breaks down lactose, thus taking over the function of the body's own lactase, which is lacking in cases of lactose intolerance. Lactase 6000 therefore allows for the symptom-free enjoyment of milk and dairy products. This also ensures the body receives the essential nutrients, minerals, and vitamins contained in milk. These include, in particular, protein, calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin D.

Where does the lactase contained in Lactase 6000 come from?

The lactase enzyme contained in Lactase 6000 is not of animal origin. It is produced using the microorganism Aspergillus oryzae, which has been used for decades in the production of food enzymes.

How is Lactase 6000 used?

You should individually determine the amount of Lactase 6000 that is sufficient for you. This depends primarily on your body's own lactase production and the amount of lactose in the meal. Generally, 6000 FCC units of lactase (one Lactase 6000 capsule) allow you to consume approximately 5–10 g of lactose. The capsules should be taken immediately before or with lactose-containing foods or drinks. Alternatively, you can open the capsules and add the contents to foods or drinks up to 50°C. This is particularly suitable when used by children. The capsules are easy to open. Simply squeeze the capsule gently and simultaneously pull the two halves apart.
