Intended for instillation into the eye for the treatment of non-purulent eye inflammations

Antiseptic effect

The medicine can be used by adults, adolescents and children.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, 1 drop is instilled into the lower part of the conjunctival sac for acute inflammations every 1–2 hours, and for long-lasting inflammations 1 drop 1–3 times a day. The medicine can be used for a maximum of 10 days .

Instillation procedure

Pull down the lower eyelash with the thumb of one hand, tilt your head slightly, look up and use the other hand to place 1 drop into your eye.

Contraindications

Do not use Ophthalmo-Septonex if you are allergic to carbetopendecin bromide, boric acid and borax or any of the other ingredients of this medicine and if you suffer from keratitis sicca (inflammation caused by reduced tear production, manifested by a feeling of dryness, burning and cutting in the eye). You can use Ophthalmo-Septonex during pregnancy and breastfeeding only on the advice of a doctor.

Composition

The active ingredients are: Carbetopendecin bromide 2 mg, boric acid 190 mg and borax 5 mg in 10 ml of solution.
