Lactiferon® Plus is a food supplement, indicated in the prevention and treatment of several types of anemia, such as: iron deficiency anemia, folic acid/folate deficiency, Vitamin B12 deficiency, thalassemia minor with an iron deficiency component (genetic disease characterized by hemoglobin and low sideremia).

Mode of action:
Lactiferon® Plus has a triple DAS action mechanism:

• unlocks the deposits and releases the iron available in the blood circulation with the help of Lactoferrin (a protein isolated from cow's milk);
• increases the absorption rate of iron from food with the help of the specific complex (Lactoferrin, Quatrefolic®, Ascorbic Acid, Beta-Carotene and Methylcobalamin);
• oral supplementation with a new form of iron - Ferrochel® (chelated bisglycinate iron).

Product advantages:

• the effect sets in quickly - thanks to the UNIQUE complex formula;
• the effect is maintained in the long term - due to the normalization of iron deposits in the body;
• does not cause gastric or intestinal reactions (such as nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea) due to the very well-tolerated form of bisglycinate iron (recommended by EFSA - European Food Safety Authority) and the gastro-resistant tablet that allows the absorption of active substances at the intestinal level without attacking the mucosa gastric;
• single dose of only 1 gastro-resistant tablet/day.

Administration method:

• Prevention: 1 tablet/day, administered 15 minutes after the main meal of the day, to increase the absorption of iron from food.
• Treatment: 1-2 tablets/day, administered 15 minutes after the main meal.
• The optimal therapeutic dose is established together with the specialist doctor depending on the recorded values ​​of the hematological markers.

Composition:
Each gastro-resistant tablet contains: 100 mg Lactoferrin, 125 mg Iron chelate bisglycinate (Ferrochel®), equiv. a 25 mg elemental Fe, 624 µg L-methyltetrahydrofolate (Quatrefolic®), 160 mg Ascorbic Acid, 2.6 mg Betacarotene and 9 µg Methylcobalamin.
