Description
Multicheck Pro+ Uric Acid Test Strips are used to measure the level of uric acid in whole blood collected from subcutaneous fingertip capillaries. They can only be used for in vitro diagnostics. They are intended for the Novama MultiCheck Pro+ device.
Uric acid testing with the Novama MultiCheck Pro+ meter can be performed independently at home, as well as by qualified medical personnel. The test principle is based on electrochemical biosensor technology.
Testing the amount of uric acid in the blood is primarily performed to diagnose gout, that is, gout. Gout is a metabolic disease in which uric acid crystals accumulate in the joints and surrounding tissues, which can lead to frequent joint swelling, pain, and inflammation. High uric acid levels can also lead to kidney stones and kidney failure.
The package contains 25 strips for testing the level of uric acid in the blood and a code strip.
