Retsevmo is a cancer medicine that contains the active substance selpercatinib.
It is used to treat the following types of cancer that are caused by certain abnormal changes in the RET gene and that have spread in the body and/or can no longer be removed by surgery:
- A type of lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer in adults who have not previously been treated with a RET inhibitor medicine.
- Thyroid cancer (any type) in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over, if treatment with radioactive iodine, if given, has failed to control your cancer.
- A rare type of thyroid cancer called medullary thyroid cancer, in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.
To make sure Retsevmo is right for you, your doctor will perform a test to check whether your tumor contains a mutation in the RET gene.

Do not take Retsevmo:
- if you are allergic to selpercatinib or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Pregnancy , breastfeeding​ and fertility :

Task :

If YOU pregnant or breastfeed , believe that YOU could be pregnant or deliberately saddle you remain​ pregnant , Ask DOCTOR for recommendation before taking​ this medicine.

You don't have to to​ use Retsevmo on term pregnancy , because it is not known the effect ITS on the fetus .

Breastfeeding :

You don't have to saddle breastfeeding on term treatment with Retsevmo , because Retsevmo can be harmful for baby Breastfed . Not known . if Retsevmo is excreted in milk maternal . You don't have to to​ breastfeeding for at least another week​​​ after administration the last dose of Retsevmo .

Contraception :

It is recommended that women to avoid​ remains​​ PREGNANT and like men not to procreate on term treatment with Retsevmo , because this medicine can damage the child . If exist any possibility that a person who takes this medicine to CAN remains​ pregnant​ or procreation , this must saddle use methods adequate contraception​ on term treatment and time of the little one more​

How much​​ to​ take :

- Less than 50 kg weight body : 120 mg twice daily OR per day.

- 50 kg weight INJURY or may much : 160 mg of two OR per day.

Retsevmo is administered twice a day. OR per day, at approximately the same hours in every day, preferably morning​ and evening .

If you have SOME adverse reactions in time treatment with Retsevmo , the doctor you​ yourself can reduce the dose , you maybe interrupt temporary Treatment or you​ maybe stop definitive the treatment .

You can saddle MANAGE the capsules together with or​ without food . Swallow . capsule whole , with a glass of water . Do not chew , crush. or divided capsule before swallowing .​​

-The active substance is selpercatinib. Each capsule contains 40 mg or 80 mg of selpercatinib.
-The other components are:
- Capsule content: colloidal anhydrous silica, microcrystalline cellulose
- 40 mg capsule shell: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171) and iron oxide (E172).
- 80 mg capsule shell: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171) and brilliant blue FCF (E133).
- Black ink: Shellac, ethanol (96%), isopropyl alcohol, butanol, propylene glycol, distilled water, ammonia solution (concentrated), potassium hydroxide, black iron oxide.
