This medical device is intended for use to relieve feelings of fullness, bloating, belching, and discomfort associated with excessive accumulation of gas and air in the gastrointestinal tract, which causes tension and pressure in the intestines.

Simetisan Control reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the intestines, facilitating their rupture and subsequent expulsion. Simethicone has a surface-acting effect and does not undergo any chemical reactions. It is pharmacologically and physiologically inert.

• Contains 240 mg of simethicone in a soft gelatin capsule
• Casing ingredients: porcine gelatin, glycerol
• Contains no sugar or dyes.

Indications: 

Simetisan Control is intended to be used as an adjunct to prepare patients for abdominal diagnostic procedures (ultrasound, endoscopy, radiography, and colonoscopy) to remove gas and air from the gastrointestinal tract, improving the quality of the images obtained.

Ingredients: 

• 240 mg of simethicone in a soft gelatin capsule
• Casing ingredients: porcine gelatin, glycerol
• This medical device does not contain sugar or dyes.

How to use: 

• Simethisan Control capsules are taken orally, before or after a meal, with a sufficient amount of fluid (e.g., 1 glass of water)
• Drinking carbonated beverages is not recommended while taking this product
• Adults: 1 capsule 2-4 times daily as needed. Maximum 4 capsules daily (960 mg simethicone)
• Children over 12 years of age: 1 capsule daily as needed.

Preparing for diagnostic tests:

• Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 capsule in the evening on the day before the diagnostic test and 1 capsule in the morning on an empty stomach on the day of the diagnostic test
• This product can be used by people with diabetes and those with sugar digestion disorders
• Consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is required before using this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Due to the nature of simethicone and its inability to be absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, no harmful effects are expected from using this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Contraindications: 

Do not use Simetisan Control

• If you are hypersensitive to simethicone or any of the product's ingredients
• In children under 12 years of age
• If you have known or suspected perforation or obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract.

Warnings: 

• Do not take more than 4 capsules per day in adults and 1 capsule per day in children over 12 years of age
• Simethicone may reduce the bioavailability of concomitantly taken medications
• If you need to take the product concomitantly with other medications, leave at least one hour between taking Simetisan Control and other medications
• If symptoms worsen or persist, consult a doctor
• No data is available on the product's effect on operating machinery or driving
