This product contains sources of pepsin, bromelain, and protease (hydrolyzes proteins) and lipase (hydrolyzes proteolytic triglycerides).

• One FCC unit of pepsin activity under standard conditions digests 3000 times its own weight of coagulated egg white.
• One HUT unit of papain activity will release in one minute at 40°C and pH 4.7, a hydrolysate whose absorption at 275nm is the same as that of a solution containing 1.10ug/ML tyrosine in 0.005 N hydrochloric acid.
• One GD unit of bromelain activity will release approximately 8.4mg of amino acids (from gelatin), 20 min/mg enzyme at 45°C, pH 4.5.
• One FIP unit of lipase activity will release the equivalent of 1 µm of fatty acid from olive oil per minute of enzyme at 37° and pH 9.0.
