The cerascreen® Melatonin Test allows you to conveniently determine the melatonin level in your saliva at home. Melatonin is a crucial hormone for regulating the sleep-wake cycle and significantly influences how quickly you fall asleep. Fluctuations in melatonin levels can indicate difficulty falling asleep and, if persistent, impair sleep quality. A low melatonin concentration in the evening could indicate that your natural sleep rhythm is disrupted, which can manifest as a longer time to fall asleep or restless sleep.

Sample collection is simple and requires no doctor's visit. Your saliva sample is analyzed in a specialized medical laboratory, and you will receive your results approximately ten business days after the sample arrives. The test kit contains everything you need. A 15-minute telephone consultation is also available to discuss the results or receive nutritional advice.

Instructions for use:

• Test at home: Your test kit contains everything you need to collect a small saliva sample. Then, send the sample free of charge to our medical laboratory in the enclosed return envelope.

• Action: Your access to test results as well as evidence-based insights and tips to improve your health: your cerascreen® user profile on our website or our app.

Notes:

The melatonin test is not suitable or only suitable to a limited extent for certain groups of people:

• People with infectious diseases such as hepatitis and HIV should not take the melatonin test.
• Pregnant and breastfeeding women should only perform the melatonin test under medical supervision. Reference values ​​and recommendations do not apply to them, or only to a limited extent; they should seek instructions regarding the test results from their doctor or therapist.
• The melatonin test is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
