Enelbin Paste can be applied warm or cold.
When Enelbin Paste is applied warm, the long-lasting heat retention of the aluminum silicates stimulates blood circulation and tissue metabolism, thereby accelerating the removal of harmful metabolic products. The affected tissue receives an increased supply of nutrients and oxygen to promote regeneration.
In contrast, a cold application of Enelbin Paste has an acute decongestant effect and is perceived as pleasant in acute inflammatory conditions, which are often associated with a feeling of warmth.
The cooling effect of Enelbin Paste is due to the evaporation of the aqueous base and the resulting evaporative cooling. This effect is not hindered when Enelbin Paste is applied under a water vapor-permeable dressing, such as gauze.
