Description
Solgar Vitamin D3 2200 IU is a food supplement in the form of herbal capsules intended especially for people over 75 years of age. The vitamin D contained in the product is in the form of cholecalciferol, which comes from lanolin, i.e. wax obtained from sheep's wool. However, the capsule provides 2,200 IU or 55 µg. The product contains vitamin D in powder form, so there is no need to use a gelatin coating, so the dietary supplement can be used by people following a vegetarian diet.
Vitamin D helps with the proper absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus, and also plays a role in maintaining proper blood calcium levels. It contributes to the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth and to the proper functioning of muscles. It also supports the proper functioning of the immune system. Vitamin D is involved in the process of cell division.
