How to use a medical device

1. Open the CareSens Air sensor package.
2. Wash your hands thoroughly.
3. Remove the applicator from the packaging and place it on a hard, even and stable surface.
4. Wipe the area of ​​skin where you intend to install the sensor with an alcohol swab,
5. Remove the protective cap and place the applicator horizontally on the back of your arm, where the sensor will be attached.
6. Press the release button on the applicator. The sensor will be released from the applicator and placed on the back of your arm.
7. Remove the applicator and ensure the sensor is properly attached. Once the sensor is attached, you can place a patch over it to prevent accidental removal.

Notes and precautions

Treatment decisions (e.g. regarding insulin dosing) should be made based on blood glucose meter measurements and not solely on CGM readings, unless otherwise advised by your healthcare professional.
Don't ignore symptoms of hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia, even if your sensor readings are within the normal range. When in doubt, always test your blood glucose with a blood glucose meter.
