COMPOSITION: FRANGULAR Hamnus frangula (bark) 14% BEARBERRY Arctostaphyllos uva-ursi (leaves) 14% SENNA Cassia senna (leaves) 12% MATE Ilex paraguariensis (leaves) 12% HORSETAIL Equisetum telmateia (sterile stems) 12% JUNIPER Juniperus communis (berries) 12% BLACK TEA Thea sinensis (leaves) 12% ELDERFLOWER Sambucus nigra (bark) 12% PROPERTIES OF THE COMPONENTS: Senna, due to its anthraquinone content and its action on the large intestine, is considered a typical laxative. Frangula bark contributes to this same action. Mate, tea, horsetail, and bearberry leaves exert a diuretic effect. Juniper essential oil increases glomerular filtration in the kidneys, thereby increasing urine production. Elderberry is used as a diuretic and laxative due to its mineral salt and mucilage content.
