Chromium is a mineral that the body uses for normal functioning, one of the most important functions it supports is the digestion of food. Chromium is directly involved in what is known as the glucose tolerance factor. Chromium in food is absolutely necessary, and its absence predisposes to obesity. Chromium may be important for those with type 1 diabetes - it can help them control their blood sugar and play a role in the management of adult-onset diabetes. Chromium supplements can increase "good" cholesterol (HDL cholesterol) and lower triglycerides and total cholesterol levels in those with high blood sugar and diabetes.

Brewer's yeast encloses a colony of lower, microscopic fungi. They behave "like a medicine factory" and can cover a number of deficiencies in the body such as: vitamin D, E (biotin), those in the B complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B7, B8, B9, B12 , B15), enzymes and minerals in forms easily assimilated by the body (calcium, magnesium, phosphorus), but also trace elements vital for health: selenium and chromium. It helps maintain a balanced level of stress, prevent pancreatic cancer, and ensure healthy skin. Dry and inactivated brewer's yeast retains its nutritional qualities, but no longer has probiotics. It is full of nutrients: B complex vitamins (less vitamin B12), folic acid, selenium, zinc and protein.
