Description
Medical food for special purposes, indicated for the dietary treatment of subjects with inflammatory processes affecting the colon to restore the correct functionality of the mucosa, based on sodium butyrate, niacin and tyndallized Lactobacillus acidophilus.
Butyric acid is rapidly absorbed in the upper gastrointestinal tract.
To allow sodium butyrate to reach the intestinal tract, Zymecol tablets were coated with an enteric-coated film, composed of a mixture of ethylcellulose, ammonium hydroxide, medium-chain triglycerides, oleic acid, sodium alginate, and stearic acid.
The percentage of film growth and the percentage ratio of sodium alginate to ethylcellulose allow modulation of the release of active ingredients in the desired gastrointestinal tract.

How to use
The daily dose of Zymecol should be established and monitored by your doctor. The recommended dose is 1 to 2 tablets per day, divided into 2 doses, morning and evening, on an empty stomach.
The tablets should be swallowed whole, one by one, with a sufficient amount of water.
Do not break the tablets to avoid compromising the integrity of the enteric-coated tablet.

Conservation
