Description
Jacques Guerlain named his work "Mitsouko" after the heroine of a popular novel of that time, titled La Bataille. Mitsouko, a beautiful Japanese woman and a married woman, secretly loves a British officer. The outbreak of the Russo-Japanese War in 1905 puts her love to the test, and Mitsouko, with dignity and restraint, awaits the outcome of the battle, maintaining noble control over her feelings.
