Description
Azulene eye drops are drops that lubricate and moisturize the ocular surface, especially indicated when the eye is dry and the ocular surface is damaged.
Hyaluronic acid promotes re-epithelialization of damaged corneal epithelium, while the long chain prevents the formation of pro-inflammatory hyaluronic acid particles and enhances its lubricating action during blinking.
Due to its extremely high capacity to incorporate water molecules, hyaluronic acid helps restore and stabilize the tear film.
EDTA acts as a chelator and is useful for all corneal conditions caused by foreign bodies, especially alkaline cations. For this reason, it is especially indicated for ocular surface conditions caused by air pollution and fine dust.
It also has the ability to reduce tear osmolarity, which in the case of dry eye is already high, increasing the bioavailability of water in the tear film.
