OVUNOL® is a food supplement based on myo-inositol, folate, iodine, selenium, vitamin D and zinc.

OVUNOL® contributes to the nutritional needs of women wishing to become pregnant, in order to promote normal fertility.

Myo-inositol : Naturally produced by the human body and naturally present in foods, myo-inositol is found in many cells of the human body, particularly in the ovaries.
Myo-inositol mediates the action of insulin and is involved in processes such as glucose metabolism and the regulation of cell proliferation (particularly of reproductive cells).

Folates (Vitamins B9) : folic acid contributes to normal homocysteine ​​metabolism. Folic acid supplementation increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate levels increase the risk of neural tube defects in the developing fetus.
The beneficial effect is obtained in women of childbearing age by consuming 400 μg of folic acid per day, at least one month before conception and up to three months after conception.
The folic acid contained in OVUNOL® is in the form of Quatrefolic® (5-methyltetrahydrofolate), an active form of folate.

Vitamin D : is only partly supplied by food (cod liver oil, eggs, butter, oily fish). It is mainly synthesized in the skin under the influence of sun exposure, so the intake is sun-related.
Vitamin D contributes to normal immune function, normal absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus and cell division processes.

Iodine : Found particularly in seafood and dairy products.

Iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function.

Selenium : found mainly in fish, meat and mushrooms.
Selenium contributes to normal thyroid function. Selenium protects cells from oxidative stress.

Zinc : found mostly in offal and seafood. Zinc contributes to normal fertility and reproduction and protects cells from oxidative stress.
Zinc plays a role in cell division, DNA synthesis and protein synthesis.
