Description
Medical device in the form of powder for oral solution. It can be administered for occasional irregular stools and is particularly indicated for chronic constipation.
Macro-Lax 4000 promotes the natural balance of intestinal function; it has a laxative effect, absorbing water, softening the stool and thus facilitating evacuation. Thus, it promotes a feeling of well-being and relief. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestine, does not irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa and is eliminated unchanged through the stool. It generally does not cause cramps, abdominal pain or bloating. Its effectiveness does not diminish over time.
The ability to rehydrate and soften hard stools, facilitating evacuation and providing a feeling of relief. Gopeg has a physical mechanism of action and acts gently: it is not absorbed by the body, is eliminated unchanged and does not cause gas production.
It can be administered in case of occasional irregular stools and is especially indicated for chronic constipation.
It is suitable for children aged 2 and over, the elderly and people with celiac disease.

How to use
Dissolve the contents of one sachet (10 g) in approximately 150 ml (equivalent to one glass) of water or other beverages, such as tea, fruit juice or milk, stirring until a homogeneous solution is obtained. Drink the solution.
It must be diluted with a drink of your choice, cold or hot (approximately 150 ml): for example a glass of water, fruit juice, tea or even milk, stirring until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
The appropriate dose is the lowest, sufficient to produce soft and regular stools, and should be adjusted according to the effects observed. This ranges from 1 sachet every other day (especially for pediatric use) to 2 sachets per day.
When regular stool is achieved, the dose should be reduced to 1 sachet per day or once every other day.
The maximum daily dose can be up to 20 g and can be administered in a single administration.
Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 20 g.
BOYS
For patients aged 2 years and older, the recommended dose is 0.7 g/kg.
Up to 20 kg, the dose should be adjusted according to body weight, as directed by the doctor.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women:
There are no adequate and well-controlled studies, therefore, do not take the product during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding.

Do not take the product in case of:
- hypersensitivity to macrogol 4000;
- gastrointestinal perforation and/or obstruction.

Special precautions to take
As with all laxatives, the presence of organic disorders must be excluded before starting treatment.
The product can be administered for long periods of time, but if symptoms persist despite associated dietary measures, a doctor's consultation is necessary to rule out underlying pathologies.
It can be used from the age of 2.
The product is effective 48 hours after ingestion and can be used for treatments lasting up to 30 days. Its formula, which contains only macrogol 4000, makes it suitable for patients who require a low-sodium, galactose-free and gluten-free diet.
The absence of flavors and sweeteners does not alter the flavor of the beverage. The product is intended for single use; do not use partially opened or unopened sachets. Do not use the device in any way other than as directed by the manufacturer.
Excessive doses of this product may cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, and vomiting, which resolve upon discontinuation of treatment or reduction of the dose.
In these circumstances, you should contact your doctor.

Conservation
Store in the original packaging, in a cool, dry place.
The indicated expiration date refers to the product in intact packaging and stored correctly.
Do not use the product after the indicated expiration date.
