The aerial part of the plant Origanum vulgare L., fam. Labiatae, containing volatile oil (thymol, carvacrol), tannin, flavonoids, anthocyanins, triterpenes, bitter principles.
Effect:
Anti-infectious, expectorant, antispasmodic, stomachic (stimulates the secretion of gastrointestinal juices), carminative (helps eliminate intestinal gases), vermifuge, general tonic.
Main uses:
Flu conditions, laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, asthma, cough.
Other uses:
Dyspepsia, hypoacid gastritis, fermentation colic, bloating.
Contraindications:

Preparation:
An infusion is prepared from 1 teaspoon of the plant to a cup of water.
Administration method:
Drink 2-3 cups of tea a day.
