Uncadep aerosol 20 single-dose 5 ml vials
Description
Uncadep
DescriptionSterile hypertonic saline solution for nebulization, based on N-acetylcysteine. The N-acetylcysteine in the hypertonic solution promotes decongestion of the airways, helping to thin mucus and facilitate its expectoration.
UNCADEP AEROSOL, nebulized into the respiratory tract, acts locally.
Indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with catarrhal diseases of the respiratory tract: mucus hypersecretion, cough, dyspnea. The medical device is intended to promote expectoration.
How to use
Children aged 2 years and over and adults: 1 single-dose vial per nebulization session, 1-2 times a day, for 5-10 days. The solution can be nebulized using piston aerosol therapy devices (preferably) or ultrasound. Any change in the daily dose and duration of treatment from those indicated above should be established only by a physician, depending on the clinical condition and age of the patient (children aged 2 years and over and adults).
Wash your hands before and after using UNCADEP AEROSOL.
1. Bend the single-dose vial in both directions and detach it from the tape to which it is sealed.
2. Gently shake the single-dose bottle before use.
3. Open the single-dose vial by turning the flip-off cap.
4. Apply moderate pressure to the walls of the single-dose vial to release the solution and pour it into the aerosol therapy device.
5. Nebulize the solution using the aerosol therapy device, using the mask, mouthpiece, or mouthpiece, as directed by your doctor.
UNCADEP AEROSOL can be administered at any time of the day, without time or schedule restrictions. If symptoms persist after treatment is completed, consult your doctor.
components
N-acetylcysteine (6%), sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, disodium EDTA, monosodium phosphate dihydrate, disodium phosphate dihydrate, sodium hydroxide, water.
warnings
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use after the expiry date or if the container is damaged or damaged when first opened. The contents of the bottle should be used in a single dose. If partial use is made according to the instructions, the remaining solution cannot be reused. The safety of this product has not been demonstrated during pregnancy and lactation: in such circumstances, it is recommended to consult a doctor. The presence of a sulfur odor does not indicate changes in the product, but is characteristic of N-acetylcysteine, a functional component of the formulation. Since N-acetylcysteine can react chemically with certain materials (rubber, iron, copper), it is recommended to use aerosol therapy accessories made of glass or plastic; if the accessories have rubber or metal parts, rinse with water immediately after use.
N-acetylcysteine may thin and therefore increase the volume of bronchial mucus, especially at the beginning of treatment: if this happens and you cannot cough up the mucus, contact your doctor.
N-acetylcysteine should be used with caution and always under medical supervision if you suffer from bronchial asthma: discontinue use immediately if you experience contractions of the bronchial muscles (bronchospasm). Caution and medical monitoring are also necessary if you suffer or have suffered from gastrointestinal ulcers (peptic ulcers).
UNCADEP AEROSOL can be used during treatment with bronchodilator and vasoconstrictor drugs.
Consult your doctor before using this product in combination with other medications or medical devices. Consult your doctor if you are taking:
- antibiotics, because in vitro tests have shown lower activity of some antibiotics in the presence of N-acetylcysteine;
- anticholinergic drugs, as they can reduce the volume of bronchial secretions and therefore have an effect opposite to that of N-acetylcysteine;
- nitroglycerin, as the concomitant use of this medicine and N-acetylcysteine may cause a drop in blood pressure (hypotension) and headaches (cephalalgia), making it necessary to monitor blood pressure.
UNCADEP AEROSOL, which contains N-acetylcysteine, may interfere with some blood and urine tests, such as the colorimetric test for salicylates and the ketone test: inform your doctor before undergoing these tests.
Contraindicated in children under 2 years of age. Do not use if you are hypersensitive to one or more of the components of the product. Do not use if you are taking antitussives, as the use of the product concomitantly with the reduction of the cough reflex may lead to the accumulation of mucus in the bronchi.
