The gel is applied in a 2-5 mm thick layer to the cleaned wound and can be left to act for up to 3 days.
If gel residue remains on the wound during bandage changes, it can be easily cleaned with Microdacyn Wound Care solution.
Any common bandage can be used for covering. If Microdacyn hydrogel is to be applied to cavitary wounds, these should be provided with appropriate wound fillers (e.g. alginate or hydrofibers).
