ACTION AND DESCRIPTION

It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of stage I and II pressure ulcers.

The hyperoxygenated fatty acids in its formulation, obtained through a unique hyperoxygenation process, promote epidermal cell renewal, improving skin resistance and facilitating healing; restore the hydrolipidic film, preventing skin dehydration; create an antimicrobial barrier that protects the ulcerated area from external agents and improves blood microcirculation; and prevent damage caused by increased free radicals, thanks to their antioxidant activity.

It also contains Equisetum arvense, commonly known as Horsetail, which improves skin elasticity and tone, while Hypericum perforatum (or St. John's Wort) prevents and normalizes erythema and has a soothing and dermoprotective activity.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Prevention and Treatment of Stage I Pressure Ulcers: After performing the usual cleaning procedures, apply Mepentol 2 or 3 times a day to the areas at risk or affected by the ulcer, spreading the product with your fingertips. The use of gloves is recommended for this procedure.

Treatment of Stage II Pressure Ulcers: After performing the usual cleaning procedures, apply Mepentol directly to the ulcer, or spray it onto a sterile gauze pad, which is then applied to the ulcer. Cover the ulcer with an appropriate bandage. Repeat the application two or three times a day until completely healed. The use of gloves is recommended for this procedure.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

Healthcare personnel or caregivers who apply Mepentol must adopt the minimum standards and precautions of a healthcare facility (e.g., the use of gloves).

It is also recalled that the product:

1. It is for external use

2. It must be kept out of the reach and sight of children.

3. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or tampered with.

4. Store at room temperature

5. It should not be used after 12 months of opening.

6. Should not be used after the expiration date.
