Nutricia Nutrini is a liquid food for special medical purposes suitable for children aged 1-6 years. It is a diet intended for enteral nutrition for children with a properly or partially functioning digestive tract.
When to use Nutrini nutritional support in children?
Nutrini nutritional supplement is suitable for the dietary management of disease-related malnutrition, including that resulting from:
- from insufficient supply of energy and nutrients, e.g. swallowing disorders, anorexia nervosa,
- from increased demand for energy and nutrients, e.g. recovery after surgery, intensive medical care,
- from disorders in the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, e.g. inflammatory bowel disease, short bowel syndrome.
Nutrini liquid in a 500 ml OpTri bottle can be administered through a feeding tube, especially in children with swallowing difficulties. The formula is a nutritionally complete, normocalorie and normoprotein diet, ready to consume, and residue-free. The protein source in the formula is whey and casein in a 60:40 ratio. Nutrini medical nutrition can be used as the patient's sole source of nutrition.
