OstroVit ® Omega 3-6-9 is a food supplement in the form of capsules intended to supplement the daily diet of adults. The formula is an extremely valuable source of omega-3 fatty acids, including eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), omega-6, i.e. linoleic acid (LA) and omega-9, to which it is classified as oleic acid (OA). These acids are classified as essential fatty acids (EFA) and perform many important functions in the proper functioning of the human body.
OstroVit ® Omega 3-6-9 – the properties of the ingredients
The source of DHA and EPA in the OstroVit ® Omega 3-6-9 product is fish oil. LA and OA come from sunflower and linseed oil, which is also a source of ALA in the dietary supplement. The daily consumption of 250 mg of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) in combination with 250 mg of DHA supports the proper functioning of the heart (DHA and EPA), additionally contributing to the maintenance of the proper functioning of the brain (DHA), as well as helps maintain correct vision (DHA). However, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) consumed in an amount of 2 g per day and linoleic acid (LA) consumed in an amount of 10 g per day help to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels .
The oleic acid contained in the product is an unsaturated fat. Replacing saturated fat with unsaturated fat in your diet helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. In addition, the dietary supplement formula has been supplemented with vitamin E, which helps protect cells against oxidative stress .
