Customized Gelling Fiber

Cutimed Gelling Fiber is a moisture-retaining hydrofiber dressing – effective even under compression. Cutimed Gelling Fiber is a conformable and highly absorbent fiber dressing that absorbs wound exudate and forms a soft gel. This gel keeps the wound moist and creates an optimal environment for wound healing. Furthermore, the gel formation facilitates the removal of dead tissue from the wound (autolytic debridement) without damaging newly formed tissue.

Cutimed Gelling Fiber is a soft, water-repellent, sterile hydrofiber nonwoven dressing made of sodium carboxymethylcellulose and reinforcing fibers of high-density polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate. Latex-free formulation. Not manufactured with natural rubber latex.

Areas of application:
Cutimed Gelling Fiber is intended for the treatment of superficial and deep, moderately to heavily exuding wounds, such as:

• Leg ulcers, pressure ulcers (grades II-IV) and diabetic ulcers.
• Surgical wounds (e.g., postoperative wounds with secondary wound healing and split-thickness skin graft donor sites).
• Ulcerating oncological wounds.
• Second-degree burns.
• Traumatic wounds.
