Oak Bark Tea, 125 g of tea
Description
Oak bark is the bark of young twigs of the pedunculate oak (Quercus robur), harvested and dried in spring. Oak bark contains a high amount of tannins. These have an astringent effect, meaning they cause the skin to contract. Therefore, oak bark is used externally to treat inflamed skin and itching. Taken internally, it soothes inflamed mucous membranes and relieves diarrhea.
Internal use for nonspecific, acute diarrheal diseases; mild inflammation in the mouth and throat area as well as in the genital and anal area.
External application to promote scab formation in inflammatory skin diseases.
