EYE SPRAY FOR BABIES

Description
Class IIb medical device.
Sterile saline solution with physiological pH for ocular and periocular use. It is a valuable adjuvant for the removal of periocular and ocular secretions in newborns from the first days of life, infants and children (from 0 to 6 years). The product can also be used by children over 6 years of age, adolescents, adults and the elderly (over 65 years of age).
Instillation of GSE EYE BABY SPRAY softens and washes secretions from the ocular surface, conjunctival fornix and eyelid margin. It has a diluting, decongestant and moisturizing effect, increasing tear volume.
GSE eye spray for babies contains distilled waters of euphorbia and rhinaceae, which contribute to the humectant effect due to their moisturizing action.
It is compatible with soft contact lenses.
No preservatives.

How to use
Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before use.
Hold the bottle so that the finger you use to dispense the solution (index finger or thumb) is firmly positioned on the nozzle and does not cover the spray hole. Hold the bottle upright and apply firm pressure on the nozzle to spray the solution.
In case of direct administration into the eyes, spray the product at a distance of approximately 10 cm from the eyes.
When first using, spray a few times until the product is evenly sprayed.
If the product is stored at temperatures below 15°C, if it is intended for use on children, hold the bottle in your hands for a few minutes to bring it to room temperature and avoid the child feeling an unpleasant sensation of cold.

Use the product as follows:
- To rinse the eye area instead of using wet wipes or regular solution: spray 1 or 2 doses of solution onto a sterile gauze pad and use it to immediately and gently clean the area around the eyes, removing any secretions. Avoid rubbing vigorously, but soak dried secretions with the soaked gauze pad until they can be removed. Use a different pad for each eye;
- for rinsing the eyes: spray 1 or 2 doses of the product into each eye, either open or closed. When spraying with the eye open, blinking, which leads to an increase in tear volume, allows the product to wash the surface of the eye, removing foreign particles along with excess fluid. When spraying with the eye closed, blinking causes the fluid trapped in the eyelid to come into contact with the ocular surface, increasing tear volume and thus allowing the product to wash the surface of the eye, removing foreign particles along with excess fluid.
- to relieve discomfort or redness: spray 1 or 2 sprays of product into each eye.

components
Sodium chloride (0.82%), vitamin E TPGS, distilled water from Echinacea pallida, distilled water from eyelibri, zinc sulfate heptahydrate, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate trihydrate, water for injections.

warnings
The product is intended for ophthalmic or periocular use only.
The product is intended for single patient use.
Do not use if the bottle is damaged or not perfectly closed when first opened.
During use, do not touch your eyes or other surfaces with the spray surface of the dispenser.
Do not use the product after the expiration date stated on the packaging.
If adverse reactions occur during use, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
Do not use the product in case of known incompatibility with even one component of the formula and/or with Asteraceae plants and/or Orobanchaceae plants.
No interactions with medications or other eye drops have been reported; in any case, wait at least 15 minutes before administering any other eye drops.
Dispose of the product in accordance with local waste management regulations.
Keep out of reach of children.
Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
For external use only, do not swallow.
Do not modify or damage the glass and its mechanisms.
GSE eye spray for babies does not replace any pharmacological therapy prescribed by a doctor.
You must report any serious incident related to the device to the manufacturer and the competent authority in the Member State where you are established.

Conservation
Store at a temperature between 2°C and 30°C, in a dry place, away from heat, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight.
Shelf life after opening: 3 months.
