Description

Tabcin Trend soft capsules are an analgesic, antipyretic, and nasal decongestant. Tabcin Trend contains three active ingredients with complementary effects against the flu and cold. The drug relieves symptoms such as fever, runny nose, headache, and swelling of the nasal mucosa and sinuses. Tabcin Trend is suitable for adults and adolescents over 15 years of age.

Composition

The active substances of the drug are: paracetamol ( Paracetamolum ), pseudoephedrine hydrochloride ( Pseudoephedrini hydrochloridum ) and chlorpheniramine maleate ( Chlorpheniramini maleas ).

1 soft capsule 250 mg of paracetamol ( Paracetamolum ), 30 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride ( Pseudoephedrini hydrochloride m) and 2 mg of chlorpheniramine maleate ( Chlorpheniramini maleas ).

Excipients: polyethylene glycol 400, propylene glycol, purified water, povidone K30; shell composition: sorbitol 70%, glycerol 85%, gelatin, cochineal red A (E124), brilliant blue FCF (E133), shellac, titanium dioxide (E171), propylene glycol; ink composition: titanium dioxide, modified shellac, N-butyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol.

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any further questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The drug is administered orally with a small amount of water.
The recommended dose of Tabcin Trend for adults and children over 15 years of age is 2 capsules. This dose can be repeated if necessary, but not more often than every 4 hours or more than 3 times a day.
Do not take this medicine for more than 5 days. If fever persists for more than 3 days after starting the medicine, consult a doctor.

Action

Tabcin Trend works in three ways. Paracetamol reduces fever and pain, while chlorpheniramine soothes runny noses and sneezing. The third active ingredient, pseudoephedrine, constricts blood vessels and reduces swelling in the nasal and sinus mucosa, making breathing easier.

Contraindications

Do not use Tabcin Trend if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients. Contraindications to use also include: respiratory disease; glaucoma, prostate enlargement, heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, or hyperthyroidism; congenital glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; and severe liver or kidney failure.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Side effects occur with an unknown frequency (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data), unless otherwise stated.
Stop using the medicine immediately and contact your doctor if you experience:
• allergic reactions (reported rarely), such as skin rash or itching, sometimes associated with difficulty breathing or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face (allergic edema and angioedema), increased sweating, nausea, drop in blood pressure or shock,
• difficulty breathing (bronchospasm), in patients who are allergic to painkillers and antirheumatic drugs, e.g. acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, asthma symptoms may sometimes worsen ("analgesic asthma"),
• skin rash or severe skin reaction (in the case of paracetamol occurring very rarely, i.e. in less than 1 in 10,000 patients): acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis - AGEP (in the case of pseudoephedrine occurring with an unknown frequency), manifested by sudden fever, skin redness, or numerous small pustules that may appear within the first 2 days of taking Tabcin Trend; Stevens-Johnson syndrome, manifested by blisters and erosions on the skin, mouth, eyes and genitals, fever and joint pain; toxic epidermal necrolysis (may be fatal), manifested by giant blisters that burst under the epidermis, extensive erosions on the skin, shedding of large sheets of the epidermis and fever; drug rash; erythema multiforme; acute generalized rashes; erythema; very rarely allergic reactions with inflammatory skin lesions; rash; itching; hives;
• bleeding (due to a decrease in the number of platelets),
• epileptic seizure
• inflammation of the large intestine caused by insufficient blood supply (ischemic colitis) see point 2,
• liver dysfunction (nausea, vomiting, epigastric distension, yellowing of the skin and eyes, liver tenderness due to liver failure, hepatitis, as well as dose-dependent liver failure, liver necrosis - including fatal outcomes);
• disturbances in the rate and regularity of the heartbeat (reflex slowing of the heart rate (bradycardia), hypertension, tachycardia (acceleration of the heart rate), palpitations);
• blood disorders such as: a reduction in the number of granulocytes - a certain type of white blood cell (agranulocytosis), causing susceptibility to infections, a reduction in the number of all blood cells - pancytopenia, a reduction in the number of platelets (thrombocytopenia) causing reduced blood clotting, petechiae and bruises, a reduction in the number of white blood cells (leukopenia) associated with the use of paracetamol, aplastic anemia (a significant reduction in the number of blood cells caused by impaired blood-forming function of the bone marrow, which may cause weakness, easy bruising or susceptibility to infections);
• kidney damage, especially in case of overdose, difficulty urinating.
Tabcin Trend may also cause the following side effects: drowsiness, dry mouth, excitability, anxiety, dizziness, insomnia, fear, tremors, hallucinations, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headaches.
Long-term and uncontrolled use of the medicinal product may lead to liver fibrosis, cirrhosis and even death.

Warnings and precautions

Before using the medicine, consult your doctor if: you abuse alcohol, have liver failure, kidney disease, sepsis or diabetes, Gilbert's syndrome.

You should contact your doctor immediately if:
- if the sore throat is severe, does not subside after 2 days, is accompanied or accompanied by fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting;
- if you experience redness of the skin, blisters on the lips, eyes or mouth, peeling of the skin;
- fever with generalized skin erythema and pustular rash. In this case, the drug should be discontinued;
- if you drink alcohol or take sedatives while taking the medicine, as the medicine may cause drowsiness and alcohol and sedatives may further enhance this effect;
- if you experience gastrointestinal symptoms such as sudden abdominal pain or rectal bleeding due to inflammation of the large intestine (ischemic colitis). You should stop taking this medicine.

Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Store below 25ºC.

Use of other medications

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken or might take, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Tabcin Trend may interact with:

• MAO inhibitors (also for 2 weeks after their last administration),
• agents delaying gastric emptying (e.g. propantheline, metoclopramide),
• drugs that induce liver enzymes (such as phenobarbital, glutethimide, phenytoin, carbamazepine),
• rifampicin,
• warfarin, coumarin,
• chloramphenicol,
• zidovudine.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Pregnancy
Tabcin Trend should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester.
Tabcin Trend should not be used during pregnancy due to the lack of data on its safety during this period.
Breast-feeding
The ingredients of the drug pass into the milk of breastfeeding women, therefore the drug should not be used during breastfeeding.

Impact on fertility

Paracetamol may impair fertility, but this effect disappears after discontinuation of the drug.

Use of the drug in children and adolescents

The medicinal product is not intended for children under 15 years of age.

Driving and operating machinery

Do not drive, as the drug may impair your mental and physical abilities. Do not operate any machinery or use dangerous tools.
