Alter Medica milk thistle juice contains milk thistle seed extract standardized to a 5% silymarin content, which corresponds to 40 mg of silymarin in a daily intake of 20 ml of liquid, and 120 mg of vitamin C. Thistle milkweed (Silybum marianum) is a plant with a long tradition of being used in both the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Its seeds are a rich source of silymarin. Vitamin C supports the proper functioning of the immune system and helps protect cells against oxidative stress.
