Description:

CanesHydra™ is a colorless, translucent, hormone-free moisturizing gel for the relief of vaginal dryness and atrophy. It provides fast and long-lasting relief from vaginal dryness, burning and itching.

CanesHydra™ contains Ectoin®, a natural cell-protective molecule with inflammation-reducing and cell membrane-stabilizing properties.

How to use:

• Always use CanesHydra™ according to these instructions for use. Unless otherwise recommended by your doctor, CanesHydra™ should be applied once a day, preferably in the evening, at least 1 hour before bedtime (if necessary, use daily pads to protect underwear).
• CanesHydra™ can be used even less frequently, every 1–3 days.
• Before application, wash your hands thoroughly and maintain body hygiene.
• Applying cold gel may cause an unpleasant sensation. Before use, make sure the tube is at room temperature.
• Use without applicator: Apply a sufficient amount of gel to a clean finger and gently massage the external genital area and/or inside the vagina.

Use with applicator:

• Hold the tube upright, with the tip pointing upwards, and open it. Place and twist the intravaginal applicator onto the thread of the tube.
• Squeeze the tube carefully until the applicator plunger stops and the applicator is filled with gel. Remove the applicator from the tube by pulling and twisting carefully and close the tube.
• Find a comfortable position to insert the applicator into the vagina (for example, lying on your back) and carefully insert the applicator into the vagina.
• Gently press the applicator plunger until it stops and all the gel is released into the vagina.
• Remove the applicator from the vagina. The applicator should be thoroughly cleaned after each use.

To clean the applicator:

• Disassemble the applicator by withdrawing the plunger from the tube. To do this, the plunger must be pushed firmly with the spherical end against a hard surface.
• Wash the tube and plunger with warm tap water and soap, rinse them thoroughly.
• Allow the applicator parts to air dry on a dry, clean surface.
• Reassemble the applicator by inserting the plunger into the tube. An applicator should not be used for more than 20 uses.

Precautions and contraindications:

• CanesHydra™ should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to Ectoin®, propylene glycol or any of the other components of the gel.
• If allergic reactions occur, discontinue use immediately.
• Do not use in case of trauma or surgery in the vaginal area.
• Do not use during vulvovaginal infections.
• To ensure safe hygiene, this product should be used by only one person.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• Do not use more than 3 months after first opening.
• Do not use damaged product. Before each application, the applicator should be carefully checked for integrity. Do not use the applicator if it is damaged (e.g., has visible cracks or chips) or the plunger is not loose and easily disassembles from the tube.
• If symptoms persist, worsen, or signs of infection appear (such as vaginal discharge of an unusual color/consistency/smell), contact your doctor or pharmacist.
• CanesHydra™ does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.
• CanesHydra™ is neither a spermicide nor does it support conception. It has no contraceptive action and cannot be used to prevent pregnancy.
• Do not use the intravaginal applicator during pregnancy.
• There are no data available on interactions between CanesHydra™ and other vaginally applied products. Therefore, use with tampons and vaginal suppositories/pegs is not recommended.
• CanesHydra™ is compatible with all common types of condoms (natural latex, polyisoprene and polyurethane). Tested according to ISO 19671:2018.

Possible side effects of CanesHydra™

• CanesHydra™ is well tolerated. To date, there are no known side effects that occur regularly or are persistent.
• In isolated cases, some short-term local burning or itching sensations may occur, as well as a slight increase in normal vaginal secretions.
• If you experience any of the above side effects or any side effects not listed that are associated with the use of CanesHydra™, please inform your pharmacist, doctor or distributor.
