The slightly bitter-tasting pulp of the grapefruit is known for its high vitamin C content. Grapefruit seed extract contains not only this health-promoting vitamin C but also the grapefruit's secondary plant compounds, the so-called bioflavonoids. These relatively large molecules are chemically classified as glycosides and are mostly found in the parts of the plant that are removed before consumption (seeds, peels).
Recommended intake: Add 15 drops (15 drops = 0.75 ml) to water or juice and drink 3 times daily.
