ACTION AND DESCRIPTION

Topical treatment of hyperkeratotic skin disorders.

Hyperkeratotic conditions with excessive scaling and/or thick stratum corneum (psoriasis, palmoplantar keratodemia, pressure hyperkeratosis, hyperkeratotic warts, helomas)

COMPOSITION

Salicylic acid at 5%, 10%, or 20%, in a fatty excipient (petroleum jelly).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Apply once or twice a day to small, localized hyperkeratotic areas and 2-3 times a week if the affected area is more extensive.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

It should not be applied to moles, birthmarks, hairy warts, or warts on mucous membranes.

Under no circumstances should it be applied to the entire skin surface at once.

Do not apply to children under 2 years of age.

In children under 6 years of age, apply to a maximum of 10% of the skin surface and under the supervision of an adult.

Do not apply to open wounds, genitals, mucous membranes, or near the eyes.

Use with caution in diabetic patients or those with impaired peripheral circulation.

If any irritation occurs, discontinue use.
