Glucoraphanin is a compound that occurs naturally in broccoli (especially in sprouts), and its role is primarily as a precursor to biologically active sulforaphane. Sulforaphane , on the other hand, is an isothiocyanate found in some cruciferous vegetables, especially broccoli and its sprouts. It is present in high concentrations only for a few days after sprouting, and its concentration drastically decreases over time. This compound is formed from glucoraphanin.
