Granudacyn wound irrigation solution NPWT 500 ml
Description
Granudacyn
Rinsing solution and gel for cleaning, moisturizing and rinsing
Granudacyn is an irrigation solution for cleaning and moisturizing acute, chronic, and contaminated wounds, as well as first- and second-degree burns. The hypochlorous acid (HOCl) it contains ensures safe preservation and makes Granudacyn a reliable wound irrigation solution.
Granudacyn can be used for the careful cleaning, moistening, and rinsing of the following wounds:
- All chronic wounds of any depth, such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, etc.
- All acute wounds, such as cuts, bites, lacerations, and abrasions.
- Surgical wounds (intraoperative and postoperative).
- Wounds with exposed cartilage, tendons, ligaments or bones.
- Burns up to degree 2.
- Radiation ulcers.
- Fistulas and abscesses.
- Body cavities such as the ear, nose, mouth, throat and pharynx.
- Critically colonized or infected (here adjuvant) wounds.
- Soft tissue injuries.
Granudacyn can also be used to moisten wound dressings and to remove wound dressings and wound pads.
Granudacyn is suitable for multi-patient use for up to 90 days (gel) and 60 days (solution) after opening. To ensure safe use after opening, Granudacyn contains a preservative that occurs naturally in the body: hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid also prevents the growth of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including MRSA, ORSA, VRSA, VRE, viruses, fungi, and spores in the solution (= sterility).
- It cleans the wound mechanically.
- Germ-free and pH-neutral.
- Non-cytotoxic or irritating, free of heavy metals.
- Hypotonic to promote osmolysis and cell growth.
- Reduces wound odor.
