Drops with lactase enzyme, Infant drops, 15 ml, Colief

Colief is a product that helps compensate for lactase deficiency in the baby's digestive system and, as a result, avoids colic and soothes it.

Added to the baby's regular milk, Colief will significantly reduce the level of lactose, converting it to glucose and galactose, before it is fed.

• Studies have shown that crying hours can be significantly reduced when the infant's milk is with Colief

Active ingredients:

Lactase, an enzyme that exists naturally in the body.

Ingredients per 14 ml:

Glycerol 8.9 g, water 8.0 g and lactase enzyme 0.2 g.

Administration method:

• It can be used from birth
• Up to 3-4 months it is used at every meal of the infant, at which time the symptoms associated with colic should disappear
• You should then be able to gradually wean off the Colief drops, going from initially taking them at every meal, to alternate meals, and finally just once a day until they are completely withdrawn
• If it happens that at some point the signs of discomfort reappear, return to the previous dosage.

Lactation:

• Put a few spoonfuls of breast milk in a container
• Add 4 drops of Colief
• Administer the contents to the baby in a sterilized spoon
• Continue breastfeeding as normal.

Other methods:

• Colief in milk formula:
• Prepare the milk formula according to the manufacturer's instructions
• Add 4 drops of Colief to warm, not hot, milk
• Stir the milk from time to time and after half an hour feed the baby
• Discard leftover food.

If the formula milk needs to be prepared in advance:

• Prepare the formula milk carefully according to the manufacturer's instructions
• Add 2 drops of Colief to warm milk and keep it in the fridge for 4 hours
• It warms to the correct drinking temperature
• Discard leftover food.

If using ready-made milk formula:

• Heat the food until it reaches a medium temperature
• Add 4 drops of Colief
• Wait 30 minutes, shaking the container occasionally
• Feed the baby
• Throw away the rest of the unused food.

Precautions:

• Once opened, store the bottle in the refrigerator and use for up to 3 weeks
• This medicine can be administered in combination with Infacol.
