Teasel root (dipsacus silvester) used in the treatment of Lyme disease, rheumatism, gastric ulcers, gout and arthritis. Teasel also treats skin inflammation.
Carnița belongs to the Dipsacaceae family. It grows wild in almost all of Europe, including Poland. The medicinal raw material is mainly the root and leaves. Once used to treat rheumatism, stomach ulcers, gout and arthritis, it is currently experiencing a resurgence in popularity due to the discovery of its beneficial properties in the fight against Lyme disease. The root of this plant strengthens the immune system and, thanks to active compounds with bacteriostatic, immunostimulating and anti-inflammatory effects, supports the body in getting rid of Lyme disease. Teasel, thanks to its phenolic acids, has a protective effect on the liver parenchyma, while ursolic acid is excellent in fighting bacteria and inflammation.
The tea and cyst were recommended for Lyme disease by Saint Hildegard of Bingen, who knew herbs, food and a healthy lifestyle like no other.
