Active principles:
Phenolic glycosides (salicin, populin), tannin, flavonosides.
Pharmacological action:
Antirheumatic; analgesic; febrifuge; astringent (antidiarrheal and hemostatic); mild nervous sedative; cicatrizing
Recommendations:
Rheumatism (both in internal and external use); diarrhea; hemorrhages; febrile conditions; gouty neuralgia; colds; depressive states; insomnia.
Administration method:
- Internal - decoction 1 spoon per cup; 1-2 cups a day; powder 2-3 g/day taken between meals.
- External - concentrated decoction (2-3 spoons per cup) for baths, lotions and gargles.
