Myo-Inositol is a powdered preparation containing a selected fraction of inositol: myo-inositol. Inositol is a well-known lipotropic factor. The highest concentration of inositol is found in the brain, where it plays a crucial role: it binds neurotransmitters and some steroid hormones to receptors and influences cognitive skills.

Inositol , although not a vitamin, has many valuable properties similar to those of the B vitamins. For this reason, it is called "vitamin B8."
