Elanee lactic acid treatment 20 ml
Description
Elanee Lactic Acid Treatment
For the relief of vaginal discomfort and the prevention of bacterial vaginal infections
Areas of application:
The ELANEE lactic acid treatment is particularly suitable for women with a known vaginal imbalance (vaginal pH value > 4.4), a tendency towards vaginal infections (bacterial vaginosis), and after antibiotic treatment, a vaginal infection, or treatment for a yeast infection. By supporting the restoration of a balanced and healthy vaginal flora, it helps prevent symptoms of bacterial vaginal infections, such as itching, burning, abnormal discharge, or unpleasant odor.
How it works:
Lactic acid bacteria maintain a healthy vaginal flora and prevent the colonization and spread of harmful bacteria. If the vaginal environment contains too few lactic acid bacteria, the vaginal pH level rises, allowing bacteria to colonize more easily and spread more rapidly. Bacterial vaginal infections are accompanied by various symptoms such as itching, burning, dryness, increased discharge, or unpleasant odor. Severe, untreated infections can lead to inflammation and infertility. In pregnant women, ascending infections can trigger premature labor, premature rupture of membranes, or even premature birth. The Elanee Lactic Acid Treatment has a pH level below 4.0 and helps normalize the vaginal flora. Furthermore, it gives the body additional time to produce its own lactic acid and regenerate itself, restoring a healthy vaginal flora.
Application:
- Ensure clean conditions (e.g., wash your hands).
- Unscrew the Gel&ndash%%%Tube and pierce the seal of the tube opening with the inverted cap.
- Remove the applicator from the foil packaging just before use and screw it onto the opened Gel&ndash%%%Tube.
- Slowly squeeze the lactic acid gel from the tube until the screwed-on applicator stops (approx. 2.5 ml = 1/2 applicator fill). Caution! Do not squeeze any gel past the plunger! Carefully twist the half-full applicator off the tube.
- Position yourself on your back, preferably in the evening before going to sleep, with your legs slightly bent and a towel under your pelvic floor area.
- Insert the filled applicator into the vagina about 2–3 cm, like a tampon.
- Squeeze the gel completely from the applicator into the vagina by slowly pressing the plunger. Due to its low pH, the gel may temporarily cause a mild burning sensation in sensitive mucous membranes.
- Dispose of the used applicator in your household waste and repeat the steps listed above with a new applicator on the following days.
Tip: After using the lactic acid gel, it is recommended to wear a panty liner/pad, as increased discharge may occur.
