The preparation is presented in the form of capsules that contain micropellets covered with a coating that ensures the gradual release of sodium butyrate up to 8 hours after ingestion.

The butyric acid contained in the product (in the form of sodium butyrate) belongs to the group of short-chain fatty acids. It is the basic source of energy for intestinal epithelial cells. In humans, it is produced in the large intestine during fiber fermentation.
