Smoothing face cream with 5% urea

Description
A gentle and lightweight moisturiser for daily use on dry to very dry skin. It is enriched with two natural moisturisers, urea and lactate, which bind water, instantly hydrating dry facial skin, reducing the feeling of slight dryness, for a smooth and soft feel. Skin roughness is also caused by a lack of moisture; Eucerin 5% Smoothing Face Cream reduces this while maintaining hydration. It is ideal for use under make-up or as an aftershave.
Clinical studies
The efficacy of Eucerin 5% Urea Smoothing Facial Cream, applied twice daily to the inner forearm, was tested on 24 subjects with healthy skin. Skin hydration and roughness were assessed based on baseline parameters, both after 1 and 2 weeks of treatment and 3 and 7 days after the last application.
Main evidence
Significant increase in skin hydration after just 1 week compared to untreated skin. Gradual decrease in hydration after stopping treatment.
Significant reduction in skin roughness already after week 1, compared to untreated skin. The reduction in skin roughness was maintained throughout the treatment period.
No side effects were observed.
