Butyrogenic alpha-glucan – a resistant starch that is fermented by intestinal microflora and results in the colonocytes’ preferred food source, butyrate (a short-chain fatty acid). Increased levels of butyrate help to:

- maintaining the integrity of the intestinal mucosal barrier by increasing mucus production and decreasing epithelial cell apoptosis

- restoring the intestinal mucosal barrier in enteropathies by stimulating the maturation of epithelial cells

- stimulating anti-inflammatory processes in the body

· MPS Protect – mucopolysaccharide that restores the state of mucin in the intestine, a layer that acts as a barrier against antigens and pathogenic bacteria

- Preplex - a combination of FOS and acacia that provides a prebiotic effect throughout the large intestine
