Synocrom ^® is a medical device in the form of a single-use prefilled syringe for intra-articular injections. The package contains a 2 ml syringe with a 1% sodium hyaluronan solution obtained in the biofermentation process.

The viscoelastic solution of sodium hyaluronate is a so-called viscoelastic fluid with properties intermediate between a solid and a liquid. Due to this fact, they can be administered as injections into the joint space. Sodium hyaluronate has lubricating and shock-absorbing properties, allowing proper movement of joints without pain.

Intra-articular injectable solution ^Syncrom® 20 mg/2 ml Valeant is indicated for patients with post-traumatic or degenerative changes in the knee joints. Injection of hyaluronic acid into the joint helps to restore the natural viscoelasticity of the synovial fluid, supports the reconstruction of the synovial fluid, eliminates pain and improves joint mobility. The effect of the medical device can persist for several months after a therapeutic series of one to five intra-articular injections.
